Determination of Paternity of A Child or An Adult in Nigeria: Is There Any Justification for the Distinction?

Michael Akpa AjaNwachuku

Abstract

Judicial authorities have shown that in Nigeria, the determination of paternity has in these present times been frequent. This paper shows this tendency by citing several recent judicial authorities and further shows that the courts in the process of determining paternity, strike a distinction between a child and an adult. It opines that there is no justification for the distinction and recommends the elimination of it.
