Isolation and Characterization of Estra–2ll–en –17–ol, 3yl benzoate from Mucuna pruriens ( Utilis).
Abstract
Chemical investigation of the bioactive constituents of the seeds of Mucuna pruriens (utilis) resulted in the isolation of a new steroid, Estra–2ll–en –17–ol, 3yl benzoate. The structure was elucidated using NMR spectroscopy in combination with IR and MS spectra data.
