How Do Y Generation Employees Perceive Institutional Reputation? The Example of TRC1 (Gaziantep, Adiyaman, Kilis) Region’s Enterprises

Abstract


Especially in recent years, technological developments have also caused significant changes in the field of communication and information. These changes have led to differences in the working conditions of the business world as well as in the characteristics such as work, attitude, expectation, perception of different generation employees. The purpose of this study is to measure the level of reputation perceived by the employees of the Y generation working in the enterprises in the TRC1 Region. In addition, this study examined the differences in institutional reputation perception of socio-demographic characteristics of Y generation employees. Within the scope of the research, data were collected by a simple random sampling method through a questionnaire applied on 523 employees of Y generation in TRC1 Region. SPSS 22.0 program was used for analyzing the data. The reliability level of the institutional reputation scale used in the research is 0.952. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and normality test were performed in the study. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H tests were used to analyze differences in sociodemographic characteristics of institutional reputation levels perceived by the Y generation employees, since the data do not show normal distribution characteristics.
