The Effect of Some Biological Parameters of Aphis fabae Scopoli (L.) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) on Different Eggplant Cultivars
Abstract
In this article, some biological parameters of Aphis fabae were studied on three different eggplant cultivars (Adana topağı, Kemer and Pala). This study was conducted under controlled conditions: 25±1 0C, 65±5% relative humidity (RH), and 16:8 (L:D) h photoperiods. The maximum and minimum developmental times were observed on Pala and Adana topağı cultivars, respectively. When we examine the total development period, the shortest Adana topağı cultivar (6.14 days) and the longest total nymphal growth period were determined on Pala (8.50 days). When the biological parameters of A. fabae were examined, it was determined that the varieties with the lowest rm values were on Kemer cultivar. When the Ro values are compared, it is seen that the lowest value is obtained in Kemer variety. When the To values were examined, it was determined that the lowest value was obtained on Adana topağı variety, followed by Kemer and Pala varieties.
