Peer Review Policy

The Journal of (JPAM) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Journal accepts high quality articles that conform to its scope and editorial standards based on research and applications of various subject areas related to Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine. The journal will publish original research articles, review articles, short communications, case studies, letters to the editors and book reviews. Abstracts of meetings and symposia will also be considered for publication. All submitted papers are subject to an extensive review by the editorial board and by a panel of international referees. To minimize delays between manuscript submission, decision and publication, authors are requested to follow the ‘Call for Papers’ found on JPAM website.

All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine will be subjected to extensive peer review process. Each manuscript will be sent to the Managing Editor who in turn will assign 3 reviewers (other members of the Editorial Advisory Board or outside foreign experts in relevant fields) expecting that the review must be completed within 15 days. Once two concordant reviews are received, the Managing Editor will make a preliminary decision, even if the third review has not been received. In general, if two of three reviews are positive, the manuscript will be accepted. However, if two are not constructive it will be dropped. A final decision on all accepted manuscripts will be fixed by the Editor-in-Chief after synchronizing with Associate Editors.
