An Agent based Intrusion Detection System

Abstract

Intrusion Detection for Mobile Ad hoc Networks are growing more and more necessary. In this paper, we focus on the method of  protecting of network routing protocols. We proposed an innovative intrusion detection architecture based on quantitative, agents, and the data clusters that is suitable for the ad hoc networks. The system can find the nodes misbehavior and anomalies in packet forwarding such as dropping, modifying or delaying of packets by intermediate nodes. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the system.
