Regulation of CSR of Banking as a Part of GCG in Indonesia

Abstract


Bank does not perform its business in the field of and in relation with natural resources. Hence, it does not required to implement the Social and Environmental Responsibility by Indonesia Act of Company Law, Act Number 40 of 2007. While, Article 61 paragraph (2) point l of Bank of Indonesia Regulation concerning on the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance for banks, Bank of Indonesia Regulation Number 8/4/PBI/2006, orders all domestic and foreign commercial banks operated in Indonesia shall perform Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
