Effects of Exchange Rate Volatility on Low Income Residential Real Estate Investment Returns in Nigeria
Abstract
This paper examined the effects of Naira/Dollar exchange rate volatility on low income residential real estate investment returns in Nigeria using EGARCH model. Time series data for an 11year period between 2000 and 2010 was used in this study. The findings reveal that exchange rate volatility has a significant positive effect on low income residential real estate investment returns in Nigeria within the study period.
