The Authentic Leadership is Source of Intrinsic Motivation in Work Engagement with Moderating Role of Overall Trust (Cognitive and Affective Trust)
Abstract
The current research was conducted to examine the impact of authentic leadership on work engagement of followers. The existing study extend the research to check mediating effect of intrinsic motivation of employee in the relationship between authentic leadership and work engagement. This study also evaluates the moderating effect of cognitive and affective trust on authentic leadership and intrinsic motivation.. Data was obtained from private sector, 350 employees of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan responded to the questionnaire.
