Abstract

Several D-ribonucleosides are prepared from 1-O-acetyl-2,3,5-tri-O-benzoyl-?-D-ribofuranoside and trimethylsilylated nucleobases under mild conditions by using as catalyst I-Si(CH₃)₃generated during the condensation of silylated base with NP/KI.
