Isolation and characterization of Trimethyl Ether Glycoside from Lawsonia inermis

Abstract

Lawsonia inermis is a very common shrub, cultivated throughout India. Earlier workers have reported compounds of medicinal use in different parts of the plant. A  flavone glycoside Tricetin 3΄,4΄,5΄ trimethyl ether 7-O-α-L rhamnopyranosyl (1→6) β-D glucopyranoside was isolated from the whole plant of Lawsonia inermis.
