Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine is a multidisciplinary journal based on research and applications of various subject areas related to Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine. We wish publish novel research that is innovative, mechanism-based, hypothesis-driven, and supported by sound experimental design, methodology, and data interpretation. Research may involve nonclinical and clinical studies, and utilize both in vitro and in vivo approaches. Studies on small drug molecules, pharmaceutical solid materials including biomaterials, polymers and nanoparticles are also welcomed.

 

Major research areas include: Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Drug development, Industrial Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Herbal Medicines, Cosmetics and other Allied Sciences. The journal emphasizes the publication of papers that combine theories, methods and experiments from different subject areas in order to deliver innovative approaches, methods and applications.

Each of the submitted manuscript related to any above described areas is covered by Managing Editor who supports the Editors-in-Chief. Furthermore, specialized reviewers have power over the review process for submitted papers in the respective areas.

 

The Journal of Pharmacy and Alternative Medicine publishes four types of papers:

 

•           Research papers: Research papers are judged by originality, technical depth and correctness, as well as interest to our target readership. Research papers are recommended to have 15 - 25 pages in double column format.

 

•           Review articles: We will accept only solicited review articles assigned by the Managing Editor, However Unsolicited review articles focusing on high priority issues can be accepted upon discussion with the Managing Editor.  Review articles are recommended to have 20 - 30 pages in double column format.

 

•           Short communications: Short communications should hold some solid results oriented from experimental work keeping in view the technical depth and correctness, as well as interest to our target readership. Short communications are recommended to have 15 - 20 pages in double column format.

 

•           Letters to the editor: letter to the editor should be directly addressed to managing editor. Contents of these letters should focus on some issue which is critical to be raised in research community. Letters are recommended to have 5 - 10 pages in double column format.

 

Shorter or longer papers are allowable, if the objectives of a paper warrant deviating length. Descriptions that are either unnecessarily short or long will negatively impact chances of acceptance.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
