Utilization of Solar Energy with Passive Systems

Abstract

While the need for energy increases constantly, a great deal of energy is provided by fossil fuels. However, fossil fuels are not infinite and will definitely come to an end. This urges humanity to seek for new energy sources and requires the maximum usage of existing sources. Even though energy sources are mostly used by industrial services, houses and other living areas consume a significant amount as far as total energy consumption is concerned. Studies on effective energy usage will definitely reduce energy consumption around the world. Therefore, more and more buildings where the greatest comfort is provided via least amount of energy must be designed.

This study focuses passive solar energy systems and various ways of utilizing it and mainly deals with possible energy saving methods.
